Country tawk is something near and dear to our hearts. We've heard it from our friends, family, neighbors, and even ourselves. Country tawk is a dialect primarily found in the Southeast that alters the English language in hilarious ways.
A few years ago, three friends in Virginia began charting this phenomenon. We kept our ears open, compiled countless examples of country tawk, and are now eager to share these examples with the world. Likewise, we invite you to share your country tawk with us.
The purpose of this site isn't to belittle anyone. It is merely intended to take a lighthearted look at the things we hear and say in our neck of the woods. We hope you enjoy it. Y'all come back now, ya hear?

CountryTawk is very funny and challening. Most of the time I can't figure the sayings out until I look at the meaning, but I do believe it's made me a little smarter?
